“My lab investigates the molecular mechanisms in disease. We use insights from our fundamental research to address clinical challenges in human diseases, including HIV infection, liver and bladder cancer. Specifically, the research aims of my group are to decipher the precise molecular and functional consequence of chromatin mediated gene regulation in pathogenesis resulting from viral infection and/or tumorigenesis and to develop pharmacological approaches to modulate this process.”
